Size & Fit Guide
A good fit starts with the chart for the item you want. House Of Finesse carries different brands and product styles, so the same size label can have different measurements.
Start with the product page
- Choose the style and check its available size options.
- Read that product's size chart, fit notes, and fabric details.
- Check whether the chart uses body measurements or measurements of the finished garment, and whether the units are inches or centimeters.
- Compare your measurements with that chart before adding the item to your cart.
Taking body measurements
Use a flexible measuring tape, keep it level, and measure without pulling it tight. Wear light clothing and stand naturally.
- Chest or bust: measure around the fullest part.
- Waist: measure around your natural waist unless the product chart gives a different instruction.
- Hips: measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
- Inseam: follow the product's measurement instructions; a well-fitting pair of trousers can help you compare leg length.
Comparing garment measurements
When a chart lists garment measurements, lay a similar item you already own flat and measure it the same way. A flat width and a measurement taken around the body are different, so follow the chart's labels. Allow for your preferred fit and the fabric's stretch.
Shoes and other items
For footwear, use the product's own foot-length chart and confirm the size system shown. For hats, jewelry, and home items, check the listed dimensions and options on the product page.
